Salads are the best accompaniment to a meat or fish dish, they provide very few calories and yes vitamins and other nutrients. An original variant is this very colorful salad with cherries, walnuts and cheese.
As children do not usually like salad, especially if we abuse the classic recipe for children with lettuce and tomato, we propose this original idea of including acidic fruits such as cherries, you can also add strawberries.
- 100 gr. cherries
- ½ endive (or lettuce)
- ½ red cabbage
- 75 gr. walnuts
- 75 gr. blue cheese
- Oil
- Vinegar
- Salt
1. Wash the lettuce and red cabbage well, remove the outer leaves and cut them. Remember to drain the lettuce well, the drier it is, the crispier it will be.
2. Wash the cherries and pit them. Cut them in half or quarters, depending on the size.
3. Cut the walnuts into small pieces, also cut the cheese into cubes or crumble it with your hands and add it to the salad.
4. Mix all the ingredients well. Dress with a splash of oil, a little vinegar and a little salt, stir well and enjoy!
